Xavier Gipson Player Profile

Xavier Gipson is a wide receiver for the New York Jets in the National Football League. Xavier grew up in Dallas, TX and attended High School at Woodrow Wilson High. Xavier was an excellent athlete, but primarily played defensive back in high school. He switched to wide receiver as a Senior in High School and fell in love with it. After graduating from High School, Xavier decided to attend Stephen F. Austin State University because they wanted him to play offense instead of defense. Gipson immediately became a star at Stephen F. Austin. Over his 4 years with the school, he recorded a grand total of 243 receptions, 4,305 yards, and 37 touchdowns! He was also named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the year twice as a Junior & Senior! After his tremendous college career, Xavier went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, but was quickly signed by the New York Jets after the Draft. He started off his NFL career with a bang, by returning a 65-yard punt for a touchdown in OT to win the game for the Jets! He would finish his Rookie year by totaling 21 receptions, 229 yards, & 1 rushing touchdown. He also recorded 830 return yards as the team's primary punt returner. The future is bright for Xavier, and we can't wait to see what he does next! We are extremely excited to have Xavier Gipson at camp with us this year and your chance to meet him is June 26-29, 2024, at Drew University in Madison, NJ! Don't miss out!
