PLAYER PROFILE:
Percy Butler is a free safety for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League. Percy attended the University of Louisiana-Lafayette from 2018 through 2021. Although he was an unheralded 2-star recruit out of high school, Percy became an immediate playmaker for the Rajun' Cajuns defense. He played in six games as a freshman at Louisiana before becoming a full-time starter as a sophomore. Through his sophomore-Senior seasons, Percy accumulated 159 tackles, 8 pass break-ups, 8 fumble recoveries, and 3 interceptions. He also played a pivotal role in helping the Rajun' Cajuns to their best season in school history in 2021! After his Senior season in 2021, Percy declared for the 2022 NFL Draft, where he was selected by the Washington Commanders in the 4th round. In his rookie season in 2022, Percy primarily played a special team's and situational role for the Commanders, but became a starter halfway through the 2023 season! Percy was a featured instructor at our camps in 2023 & 2024 and we are so excited to have him back in 2025!
