Osa Odighizuwa - Player Profile

PLAYER PROFILE:

Osa Odighizuwa is a defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. Odighizuwa was a 3rd round pick out of UCLA in the 2021 NFL draft. Osa is an elite athlete at his position, he was a 3-time state champion in wrestling during his high school career in the state of Oregon, as well as a 3-star football recruit. Odighizuwa quickly became a big part of UCLA's defense, where he played in all 13 games as a redshirt freshman. He led the Bruins in tackles for loss as a junior with 10, but was snubbed out of the all-conference team. That mistake would not happen again his senior year, when he was named to the all Pac-12 team. He would then go on to be drafted by the Cowboys after his senior season. Since getting drafted, Odighizuwa has played in 33 of a possible 34 games, recording 6 sacks and 79 tackles in his first two seasons. His role will continue to expand on a loaded Cowboys team.
