Nic Scourton Player Profile

PLAYER PROFILE:

Nic Scourton is a linebacker for the Carolina Panthers in the National Football League. Nic grew up in Bryan, Texas where he excelled on the football field. In his final two high school seasons, he recorded 136 tackles and 8 sacks. He was also selected to play in the 2022 All-American Bowl as a high school senior. He committed to Purdue University to play in the Big Ten after graduating from high school. In his freshman season at Purdue, Nic was a rotational linebacker, but played in 10 games and recorded 22 tackles and 2 sacks. He really broke out as a sophomore and became a full-time starter for the Boilermakers. As a sophomore, he led the Big Ten in sacks with 10 and also recorded 50 tackles! After his tremendous sophomore season, Nic decided to transfer to Texas A&M and be closer to home. He spent his junior season in 2024 being a stalwart along the Texas A&M defense and helped them be one of the best defensive teams in the country! After the 2024 season, Nic declared for the NFL Draft. He performed extremely well at the NFL combine, as his measurables were some of the best in the entire draft class. He would end up being selected in the 2nd round (51st overall) by the Carolina Panthers in 2025! Going into his Rookie season in 2025, Nic has a tremendous chance to be an immediate contributor to the Panthers defense and we can't wait to see how he performs!
