Kerry Hyder Player Profile

PLAYER PROFILE:

Kerry Hyder is a defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League. Kerry played collegiately at Texas Tech University. He was a three-year starter at Texas Tech and was twice named a second-team All-Big 12 selection in 2012 and 2013. He finished his tremendous college career with 176 tackles and 11 sacks. After college, Kerry went undrafted in 2014, but signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent. After spending his rookie season with the Jets, Kerry signed with the Detroit Lions in 2015 and had a breakout year. He recorded a career-high 8 sacks with the lions during the 2015 season. After his breakout year, Kerry continued his career with multiple teams, playing a key reserve role. He signed with the Seahawks after the 2020 season, and will play a key role along on their defensive line. Kerry was a featured instructor for our 2021 camp.
