PLAYER PROFILE: 

Jerry Tillery is a defensive lineman for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League. He played college football at Notre Dame. Tillery attended Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. As a senior in high school, he had 93 tackles and seven sacks. He committed to the University of Notre Dame to play college football. Tillery was originally going to play offensive tackle as a freshman at Notre Dame in 2015, but it was later decided he would play defensive tackle. That season, he played in 12 games with three starts and recorded 12 tackles and a sack. As a sophomore in 2016, he started 11 of 12 games, recording 37 tackles. As a junior in 2017, Tillery started all 13 games, finishing the season with 56 tackles and 4.5 sacks. He returned to Notre Dame for his senior year, and had another strong year before declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft. In the draft, Tillery was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 28th overall pick in the first round! Throughout his first five seasons, Tillery has been an extremely durable player and has only missed two games due to injury. He spent his first 3 and a half seasons with the Chargers before signing with the Las Vegas Raiders over the last year and a half. In five seasons, Tillery has career totals of 12.5 sacks, 147 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, & 3 forced fumbles. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings in the 2024 offseason, and we can't wait to see him in the purple and gold!
