PLAYER PROFILE:

Dre'mont Jones is a defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League. Jones grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and was one of the best high school recruits in the State! He was named a 1st-Team Division-I All-Ohio selection and a U.S. Army All-American as a Senior. He was ranked as a 4-Star recruit and rated the 7th best prospect in the state of Ohio. He decided to stay close to home and play for the Ohio State Buckeyes. As a Freshman for the Buckeyes, Dre'mont immediately became an impact player and started 10 games. He recorded 52 tackles and 4 tackles for loss. He was also named a Freshman All-American. He had a great Sophomore year as well and was named a 3rd-team All-Big Ten Selection. He really broke out however, during his Junior year, where he recorded 8.5 sacks and 43 tackles. He was named a 1st-team All-Big Ten selection after his Junior season. After his Junior season, Dre'mont decided to forgo his final season of collegiate eligibility and declared for the 2019 NFL Draft. He would be drafted in the 3rd Round (71st overall) by the Denver Broncos! Dre'mont immediately became a key piece of the Broncos defense and would record 133 tackles, 22 sacks, 6 pass deflections, and 1 interception over the next four years. After the 2022 season ended, Dre'mont became a free agent and signed a 3-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks for $51.53 million!
