PLAYER PROFILE:
Darnay Holmes is a cornerback for the New York Giants in the National Football League. Darnay grew up in Calabasas, California and was a star player on both sides of the ball in high school. He led his high school team to the State title his Senior year. He recorded five touchdowns in the Title game, scoring touchdowns on offense, defense, and special teams! Darnay also played in the 2017 U.S. Army All-American Bowl after his Senior season. He was one of the best high school prospects in the country as a Senior and was rated a 5-Star prospect by multiple recruiting outlets. He decided to attend UCLA in college, where he immediately became a starter for the Bruins defense in his Freshman year. Darnay would spend three years with UCLA, starting 33 games at the cornerback position. He finished his collegiate career with 120 tackles, eight interceptions, and two touchdowns. After his Junior season ended in 2019, Darnay decided to forgo his final season of eligibility and declared for the 2020 NFL Draft. He ended up be selected by the New York Giants in the 4th round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Darnay spent his Rookie season as a back-up cornerback but did record his first interception in week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks! He followed up his Rookie year by continuing to be a rotation piece of the Giants secondary in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He did also record a career high, 2 interceptions in 2023! Through his first four seasons, Darnay has recorded 115 tackles, 18 pass deflections, and 4 interceptions. We are extremely excited to have Darnay back with us at camp this Summer in New Jersey after he attended our camp in 2023!
