Boye Mafe is a current defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League. Originally from Nigeria, Mafe and his parents moved to the United States when he was an infant. Mafe grew up in Minnesota, just north of Minneapolis, where he showed tremendous potential as an athlete in high school. Mafe dominated high school lineman and was named a member of the all-metro team as a Senior in high school. After high school, Mafe decided to stay close to home and attend the University of Minnesota, his dream school. After redshirting as a Freshman, Mafe broke out onto the scene during his sophomore and Junior seasons in Minnesota. He recorded 7.5 sacks and 41 total tackles as a sophomore and Junior and was named as an honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference performer. As a Senior, Mafe continued to improve and recorded 7 sacks and 10 tackles for loss. After a brilliant Senior season, Mafe declared for the 2022 NFL Draft. Mafe was seen as a raw, but exciting prospect and showed his potential during the Senior Bowl, where he consistently dominated against the best offensive lineman in the country. Due to his Senior Bowl performance, his draft stock rose, and he was selected early in the second round by the Seattle Seahawks. Mafe hopes to make a huge impact along their defensive line as a rookie and we can't wait to see him in the NFL! Boye was a featured instructor for our 2022 camp.
